At the novel’s beginning, the protagonist, Zero, works as an independent contractor to himself. One day, he conducts research at a specific location. In this location, he unearths a mysterious stone imbued with a potent form of magic called the Core Elemental. He finds an increasing number of Core Elemental stones as he takes on more missions requiring him to investigate distant regions. On his travels, he comes into with the Human genome, which is new beings God created to replace humans.
