The player assumes the role of Napoleon Bonaparte in the game’s Story Mode and is tasked with leading the revolutionary army into war against the British. The tale of Napoleon is recounted similarly to that of Fire Emblem using strategic maps and character conversation. The action takes place in the late 18th century. On the other hand, there are a lot of liberties taken with historical truth throughout the game, such as Napoleon battling man-eating ogres and abominable snowmen. The goals of each operation are slightly different, but the overarching purpose is always the same: dispatch forces into combat, emerge victorious and seize control of the opposing stronghold.
